What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?

GEO is the optimization of brand visibility and factual credibility for AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Doubao, ERNIE Bot, Kimi, Metaso and beyond) — making a brand the primary source that AI cites, summarizes and recommends. Like SEO, it's about being seen — but the target moves from search-engine result pages (SERPs) to generative answers.

How is GEO different from classic SEO?

SEO optimizes rankings on search engines — making users able to find you. GEO optimizes how generative engines cite and summarize your brand — making AI able to reference you. They complement each other and do not conflict. We recommend running both: SEO for Bing / Google / Baidu, GEO for ChatGPT / Doubao / ERNIE Bot / Kimi / Metaso.

How do I start with GEO?

Three steps: (1) run a GEO diagnostic to see how your brand currently looks across mainstream AI engines — both visibility and factual credibility; (2) fill in structured data, evidence system and content-twin based on the diagnostic report; (3) operate continuously — content updates, monitoring, and re-optimization — so brand citation weight accumulates over time. Our GEO Diagnostic System can run step 1 for you end-to-end.

How long before GEO shows results?

Structured-data and Schema fixes are typically crawled and recognized within 1–2 weeks; fact-card citations, llms.txt indexing and content-twin indexing take 4–8 weeks; authoritative citations and stable "being recommended in answers" performance is a medium-to-long-term goal (3–6 months and beyond). Actual pacing varies by industry, competitor density, and content volume.

Roughly what does GEO cost?

It depends on project complexity and scope. A one-off diagnostic has standardized pricing (light vs full); end-to-end GEO operations is signed monthly or quarterly; site build is priced by site scale and feature scope; content-twin works per platform / by article / by month. Specifics are confirmed in the proposal after a needs conversation — please use the Contact page to send your needs.

What kinds of brands are a good fit for GEO?

Any brand that wants to be seen and correctly cited by AI engines — both B2B and B2C, both emerging and mature. We especially recommend it for: (1) emerging SaaS / tooling / knowledge brands where AI engines are an early step in the decision chain; (2) content-heavy brands reliant on walled-garden platforms (WeChat OA / Channels) that want that content cited too; (3) overseas brands where GEO is already mainstream.

What is your "dual-track audit"?

Track A is compliance in 8 dimensions (crawlability, schema completeness, evidence, channel coverage, performance, accessibility, security, compliance placements) — graded P0 / P1 / P2 with a remediation playbook. Track B is a 0–100 citability score (Robots / llms.txt / Schema / Meta / Content / Entity / Signals / AI-discoverability — 8 dimensions). The two tracks merge into an overall score plus a blocker list.

Do I have to rebuild my site to do GEO?

Not necessarily. We start with a diagnostic to see your current state — many brands only need to add Schema, fact cards, llms.txt and content-twin to capture the next wave of gains. We only recommend rebuilding the base when structure / performance / Schema are severely lacking. Our site-build service uses the GEO-Native Site Kernel so these capabilities come out of the box — but the decision is yours.

Do you cover overseas AI engines?

Yes. The GEO Diagnostic System natively covers Bing / Google / Yandex / Naver / Seznam search surfaces and overseas AI engines like ChatGPT / Perplexity / Gemini; in China it covers Doubao / ERNIE Bot / Kimi / Metaso / Qwen. See the Facts Hub and Channels Hub for the full checklist and reporting flow.
